Michael J. Cangelosi founded Angel Engineering, Inc. with the vision of becoming a quality resource for emerging companies seeking design, engineering, product development and project management services. He has already served a variety of companies spanning industries from medical to automotive. Michael continues to fulfill his vision by innovating design and manufacture solutions to meet client needs.

With a diverse research and development background and intimate knowledge of rapid prototyping and lean manufacturing, Michael assisted several venture-backed companies in mobilizing their product development programs. He has also led the product development for many high volume product lines for the top Fortune 500 medical device company. As the lead for design and production, Michael also played a critical role in bringing complex GREEN products to market. His contributions to green technology, specifically solar CPV systems, have been published in SPIE.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; a joint degree with North Carolina State University’s College of Engineering. Michael also studied advanced Solid and Surface Design at Mira Costa College where his work won an award in single surface multi-component assemblies.

In the spirit of reaching out to both domestic and international clients, Michael continues to sharpen his Japanese fluency. He is also an active member of San Diego Young Entrepreneurs where he expands local business networks and shares his unique perspective on how to maximize growth with limited cash flow. Michael comes from a background motivated by a passion to help others serving a combined total of 10 years in the Emergency Medical and Fire services.
